1. From Ludwigs Corner:
Birchrun Road is the first road to the right on route 100 north of the
intersection of routes 100 and 401. Turn between the abandoned gas
station and the old house.
Follow Birchrun Road about 3 miles to us, making a right at the first
stop sign and left at the next (to stay on Birchrun Road as it joins and leaves
Horseshoe Trail), then follow the road to the right around the big pond.
After Jaine Lane, turn right on Davis Lane.
We are the first drive on the right, immediately after the bridge.
2. Directions from Phoenixville:
From route 23/Nutt Road, go west to left turn at light onto route 113 south/Kimberton Road (if you pass Sears and K-Mart you missed it). In about 2 miles, turn right at a light onto Cold Stream Road. Follow Cold Stream, going straight at 2 stop signs, to merge onto Pughtown Road, at pond on left.
When driving through the farms, turn left onto St. Matthews Road; in 1.8 miles turn right onto Flowing Springs Road. At stop sign in Birchrunville, turn left on Hollow Road, then veer right at the stop sign to Birchrun Road. Davis Lane is to the left in about one-half mile. 1201 is driveway on right immediately across the bridge.
3. Directions from the Philadelphia Airport:
From Philadelphia Airport, take I95 south to route 322 at Chester
(you will pass a route 320 which you do not want). 322 to route 1; left on route 1 south to
north on route 202. (Route 322 actually travels with route 202 to West Chester.)
Stay on north on 202 past West Chester to exit on to route 401 west.
Continue over hill and dale to route 100. Turn north (right) on route 100.
Go north one road (first right) to Birchrun Road. See 1. above.
4. Directions from West Chester/Exton:
Take the route 100 exit from 202 and continue north toward Pottstown,
across route 30, past the PA Turnpike, and approximately 4 miles
further on you will cross route 401 and take the first right on to
Birchrun Road and follow the instructions from 1. above.
5. Directions from Allentown / I78 / New Jersey (and Potttstown):
Take I78 exit number 55 for route 29 south (toward Emmaus). . . to pick up route 100 south.
Stay on route 100 for approximately 27 miles, past Pottstown and route 422.
Two miles south of (where you cross) route 23, turn left on Flowing Springs Road just before the Titus Inn. Take the second right, immediately after Green Lane, onto Hilltop Road. At the stop sign, turn right onto Shady Lane; at the next stop sign, turn left onto Birchrun Road and continue as in 1. above.
6. Directions from PA Turnpike (EAST):
Take the Turnpike to Downingtown, Exit 23/312 (old number/new number). Go north from exit,
on route 100, approx 4 miles. Just after the light at route 401, take a
right on to Birchrun Road. See 1. above.
7. Directions from PA Turnpike (WEST):
Take the Turnpike to Morgantown, Exit 22/298 (old number/new number). Follow signs to route 23 east. Two miles east of Morgantown turn right onto route 401. Turn left onto route 100 north, take an immediate right onto Birchrun Road, and continue from 1. above.
8. Directions from I95 Baltimore/Washington (south of Wilmington):
Take I95 north through Baltimore.
Stay on I95. This is a long stretch of highway; the total distance on I95, from the Beltway to the exit, is about 75 miles. The exit you want is about 7 miles after you pay the $5.00 toll. Take exit 100 onto route 272 north, left at the light. Take route 272 to route 1. There is one place, just at the Chrome dairy, that 272 turns to the left at an intersection. The ramp on to route 1, north, is just past a big Wawa gas station/mart.
From route 1, take the second exit to route 10 north; turn right at the top of the ramp. Stay on 10 to route 30. Turn right on to 30, and stay in the right lane to exit on to the route 30 bypass. (The main road becomes Business 30.) Travel east on route 30 approximately 15 miles and exit at route 113, north, toward PA-100 / Lionville.
Take route 113 approximately 4 miles to route 100, turn left to go north.
You will pass the Turnpike and go another 4 miles to the right turn on to
Birchrun Road, just past the light at route 401. See 1. above.
9. Directions from I95, Wilmington:
Take I95 north through Baltimore.
Exit I95 onto route 202 north in Wilmington. Once you near West Chester, route 202 will be a ramp to the right on to a divided highway section (don't be tempted by business route 100 to go through the City of West Chester.) Continue north on route 202 around West Chester on the by-pass and exit at route 100 north (just past the route 322 / Downingtown exit.). Continue north on route 100 across routes 30, 113, and the PA Turnpike until you get to the light at route 401. Cross route 401 and take an immediate right onto Birchrun Road, and continue from 1. above.
10. Directions from Leesburg, VA:
Go north on route 15 through Maryland to the PA Turnpike just west of Harrisburg.
Take the Turnpike to Morgantown, Exit 22/298 (old number/new number). Follow signs to route 23 east. Two miles east of Morgantown turn right onto route 401. Turn left onto route 100 north, take an immediate right onto Birchrun Road, and continue from 1. above.
